Our baby boy is 5! How is that possible?

He is such a blessing to our family!  For the past 5 years we have all looked on him as the baby boy who brightens our day and keeps us laughing. As a mother there is a sorrow that comes when your youngest reaches an age that they can no longer be considered a baby (even if they will always be your baby) because the world just doesn’t look at them that way anymore (HE doesn’t look at himself that way – but then again he never has).  But there is a certain comfort in knowing he is growing into a full fledge kid who is ready to conquer kindergarten next fall. He is such an active, intelligent, inquisitive boy and he will thrive at school, I’m just not so sure the same can be said for me! As Eli leaves babyhood behind him and jumps into kid-hood we celebrate HIM and ALL that he is and feel very thankful to have him in our family!

He will kill me for this one someday, but this is what happens when you have 4 older sisters!

Happy Birthday ELI! We love you so much and hope your fifth year brings you adventure and knowledge and friendships and love and support, and joy that abounds!


Here's some pictures from his BIG day - his party at Monkey Business with all of his friends is still in the planning stages, but lots of family came to celebrate with him and he felt like the little king that he is.
