WARNING

If you live in the greater Denver area or there roundabout, consider yourself warned!
Gable got his driver’s license.  We have heretofore avoided this momentous day by tying it directly to him getting his Eagle Scout (which has been submitted and will be finished next month), so we can’t put it off any longer.  I’m not sure how parents who have already treaded these scary waters actually lived through it, but watching him get into his truck and pull away without me or Wayne there to be on danger patrol has to be one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.  Not to mention he was driving with another one of my precious children in the passenger seat (Maddy).  Our baby is out there on the hazardous roads somewhere and I’m not so sure he’s ready – I know I’m not!  Ok, I know he thinks he’s ready.  But if you haven’t ridden in a car with a new driver lately, you need to give it a try because you will realize how much of driving you take for granted and how very much there is to learn behind the wheel.  I have asked for a special army of angels to follow my son around (at least for the next few years), and if you want to throw a prayers of your own his way it would be greatly appreciated.  At least he is only driving to Seminary and School at this point, but as these things go, I know it’s only getting worse from here.  Here’s another scary thought – he’s not the only new driver on the road!
