"I told you so"

I will admit having teenagers has (on occasion) caused me to relish saying the words "I told you so" - No, I take that back, I don't actually say them, but they are out there, hanging in the air as an unspoken token to my superior wisdom.

But, having to watch your children learn a lesson the hard way (especially when it could have been avoided) can be heartbreaking!

I don't know how many times I told Eli to take his christmas money and put it away in a safe place in his dresser so when he had something he wanted to spend his money on, he would know right where to find it.

(He made several of these signs to hang up in the neighborhood and at school etc.)

Now, if this sad face doesn't pull at your heartstrings I don't know what could!

Oh Eli, what a great way to approach your loosing you wallet, but have you look really good in the dirty landry and your room and Mom or Dads car. I bet you find it soon. Love you so much. Momma
