(Some backstory for context: Maddy is off to college and has pored over the pages of this long forgotten blog as it has become a source of comfort for her while she's so far from us, and she never misses an opportunity to remind me ho much she loves it.)
I have gotten a little sidetracked these last few years and overwhelmed with "LIFE", but I've decided to pull myself up by my boot straps and reach down to find those neglected embers that used to burn so brightly for me. I am passionate about motherhood, about my family and about cherishing every moment we spend together and you Maddy have reminded me of why I started it in the first place. This will be a place to simply record, to celebrate, and to remember so wherever we travel, both near and far, we will always be able to come here to be grounded again and strengthened in the knowledge that no matter what our family is ALWAYS there. Thank you Maddy for the reminder :)
