More FAMILY, More FEASTING, more FUN

We have been fortunate to have the opportunity to spend time with both sides of our families over the past month. We had yet another feast (this time it was Mexican YUM!) and another ornament exchange. We are thankful to have the blessing of wonderful families! We are also thankful for the opportunity we have to spend time together!

You have to be careful when you get Wayne together with his siblings…they like to outperform each other. When he and his sister Carmen get started, the rest of us sit back and enjoy the ride, because we know we’re in for a show! The kids absolutely love to hear her tell stories from the past (OK, I do too) and we love the colorful pictures she paints for us of Wayne as a little boy.

The kids also love the attention!

Of course there was music…but for the record, I didn’t solicit the performance like the kids accuse me of doing! It was Jessica I’m pretty sure. Anyway, aren’t we entitled as parents since we’ve spent so much money on lessons? It’s irrelevant really, because it wasn’t me.

Such a gracious audience!

It wouldn't be complete without a game in the man room.

And games of all kinds - Baylie brought games and ended up staying for a few extra days to play with the kids. The kids love having her stay (especially Gracey), but Eli has his work cut out for him competing for Gracey’s attention.

And the food! Everything was wonderful from the enchiladas to the chaluppa, but to those of us who know, Mexican food isn’t Mexican food unless Grandma Arlene brings her green chili (her green chili has gotten me through more than one pregnancy I can tell you that!!).

And top it off with a good natured ornament exchange. No arms were severed, no characters were defamed, but Kyle did lose his beautiful prized ornament, and someone ended up with the broken Santa (wait, I think that was me).

Thank you for a wonderful time - Let's do it again soon!
