Sunday in the south

We may have looked a little bedraggled to say the least (our church clothes didn’t survive the trip very well – some not at all), but we figured the Lord didn’t care what we looked like so, with the help of our trusty Garmin GPS we found a local ward and went to sacrament meeting amongst the saints of North Carolina. It was nice to feel so welcome and at home even all the way over here – far from our ward, and to recognize the church is the same no matter where you are. We decided to take a road trip to Charlotte for dinner because Maddy and Wayne were wanting to try the fish tacos they saw featured on “Diners Drive-ins and Dives” (who else is a Food Network fan?). Well, it was worth the trip because they were yummy! and Charlotte is a beautiful city.

Now for a 180 degree turn......you might not want to view the next picture, especially right after the fish taco pictures (I should have planned that better - sorry), but I couldn't resist showing you poor Zoe's ear - Maddy's ear is so swollen and sore we can't get the medicine into it and she can't keep the tears out of her eyes and we need to hook her to a Tylenol and Advil drip.  The silver lining....Glory's ear is feeling better!
