Another Day

We had to make a second attempt at our "cousin picture day" because I couldn't get it together enough to follow through the first time. You would think it wouldn’t be so hard for me to remember to get my camera out and catch a few pictures during the day (especially since I was the one to send out the reminder email and had it right at the front of my brain the night before), but alas, by the time morning came it was lost to me (...is it may age?...more on this later). Repentant I suggested we pick any day during the week to use as our “day”, and by Friday I finally managed to get a couple pictures to represent our day. Here is a glimpse into what a Friday looks like for us.

Gable and Maddy waiting for me to pick them up from Seminary - they don't like it when I'm late!  Then we're back to the house to eat a fast breakfast and pick up the rest of the kids so we can head to school.

Leaving for school - Eli had show-and-tell, so he was taking "Dino" to school with him.  Boy was he excited!

Carpool - Going and coming - it is what I do with a good part of my day.  I have learned to use this time to do some of the things I don't have time to do otherwise ( read etc.) while I wait for the kids.

The kids don't get to Watch TV etc. during the week, so when Friday evening comes around they are pretty excited to engage in mind numbing activities like this.  Wayne is only too happy to join in (more like take over), but I do like to watch them  - just look at Wayne playing Wii...now that's entertainment!  And look at Gacey in the laundry basket - it doesn't get more real than that (and I'm also talking about the fact that the laundry basket is in the familyroom).

Now, here’s a little confession only for those choice cousins who follow our blog (and you know who you are)….I staged the carpool picture – well sort of. I intended to get a picture of us leaving for or coming from school, but I didn’t – so I had to take it another day (it was probably Monday or something - if you are the observant type you might have noticed the different colored shirts Eli is wearing). Even cheating I only managed to get the 4 pictures. There, so now you know, but only you know, so don’t tell anyone!
