The point is

How do I start this post? Let’s just say my kids love it when the things I expect from them come right back around and find me questioning my resolve about what it is I’m expecting of them (Case in point the following pictures).
The kids are all very good natured (well let’s just say some are more than others) about me plastering pictures of them everywhere and sharing their lives in the form of our blog, and I have no problem asking them to constantly be the subjects of my creative outlets, but when I needed to get a Bio picture for my photography blog, I got a little glimpse into what it is I ask of them, and well, let's just say it wasn’t pretty – literally!
Really, they get no pity because they all bear the brilliance and beauty of youth like a coat of arms, while I however, am looking “middle age” right in the forehead and I’m not sure I like what I see. This brings me to the point of this post (well one of them anyway). And that point is? Why do I feel so old? I’m really not that old. I still have fairly young kids and I could (if I wanted to - at least I’m pretty sure I could) bear another child…that is all of my parts are still working (at least I think they are), but with my birthday lurking in the near future (and after looking at myself under 1:2 magnification…and after making an emergency trip to get my hair colored and cut…and after having to confess a little too often “I'm sorry, I don’t remember”), I am starting to wonder. Maybe it has more to do with facing too many trials on too little sleep the last few years than it does with age, but whatever the reason I’m feeling it. OK I’ll just come out and say it – 40 sucks!...
Oh my, that was a little dramatic. What I really mean is, take a look at these pictures. I need to choose one to use for my bio picture and I can’t decide which one to use. I would love your input so leave me a comment and help me decide which one really says “Piper – in all of her almost 42 years of beauty” or, if you prefer “I don’t hate this one” - Easy does it though, in case you couldn’t tell, I’m felling a little fragile.

#2                                                                                           #3
#4                                                                 #5
By the way should I put it in black and white or color?

#6                                                                       #7

Oh, I remember now…WISDOM comes with age so I have so much to look forward too…Whew!

Piper picture #1 is you. It is how you smile and I can see the laugh in your eyes. 40 is not that bad...try being 7 years older. You don't look 40, we know you don't act 40, so celebrate being 40! BWT love the hair!!!

Piper, I dont mean to go against the flow here, but I like picture #6/black white. I think it is very artsy, modern, cutting edge, and very up-town. I see I have dated myself by using those words (52 sucks also). Piper you look GREAT! Any picture you choose will be a great reflection on your talent. The love you put into every photo shows on your face, and through your eyes. Love
