......don't mind the frozen bag of cheese - just pretend our ice-maker is working or that we have ice-packs waiting enthusiastically in the freezer ready for any number of possible emergencies.

Poor Eli! I hope that you start feeling better soon. BTW if you buy AND DON'T EAT the mini M&M's they make a great ice pack and can be refrozen. If the pain is to bad you can always eat a handful or two to make you feel better.
Mom, i dont get it. You said "you dont tug on super man's cape" but i thought Eli was super man. =)
