cops and robbers

I'm finding myself torn between productivity and creativity.  My heart wants to spend hours quilting and knitting, scrapbooking, blogging and reading, but my head tells me there aren't enough enough hours in the day to accomplish what needs to be done, leaving what wants to be done...undone.  Anyway, I have been spending a lot of that time taking pictures this fall (not of my own kids), but I'm actually amazed how busy I've been with my photography.  The good news is I was finally able to buy a new computer and now I am quite high-tech.  Don't underestimate what a big deal this is considering it has cut my editing time by probably 75%.  You know when you consider all of that saved time you would think I could keep up with our blog, but I think that extra time is kind of like the extended tax cuts.  Anyway, October is gone and November has flown by.  We did manage a family Halloween costume this year - quite fitting don't you think?  If only we could get them to actually work like a chain gang.

I love this last picture because it's so us - kids crashed, still in their costumes, a mess in the background, and look at glory's socks...this is why when we do our school shopping I always buy everyone their own different style of colorless socks - so they all match (no cute colorful socks that coordinate with every outfit for my girls...poor things).  Glory went rogue on us this year and look what happens.
