Taking A Break

Since the kids have different spring breaks, it makes it a little hard for us to all do something together as a family, but this spring break the little kids had a double whammy because their mom (a.k.a. ME) got sick - and not just sick, but bedridden for pretty much their entire break.  What troopers they were, entertaining themselves and taking care of me, really I've been  humbled this week! (not to mention helplessly watching Wayne carry my load as well as his).  In an effort to make amends I donned my parka (because it was the only way I could keep warm) and took them to the zoo.  As I staggered from bench to bench they would run along taking in the sights.  Really it was a poor excuse for a zoo outing, but again they were great sports and showered me with thanks for taking them.  I am sending them back to school with a tender heart (and stomach) and already missing their company![slideshow]
