Walking on Sunshine

Yes, big kids dress up too.  We are really getting a lot of use out of the dress up clothes since we have gotten them back from Momma.  Maddy wasn't going to be left out of the fun!  I had so much fun having the kids do their fashion shows for me and Maddy was the biggest kid of them all.  She was so excited to have me take all of these pictures - that is until she saw them - and they're all so stinking cute!

Here is a little fact I've learned as I have witnessed teenagers (both mine as well as many others):  While teenage boys have giant egos and think they are a gift to all creation, teenage girls have giant self-doubt and are their own worst enemies.  Yes, I know this is a generalization, but as our divinely gentle and sensitive natures are in their developing stages, we tend to be rather hard on ourselves - geesh, what am I talking about - I'm pretty sure the more mature among us are pretty hard on ourselves as well.

So, because I know how darling she is even if she doesn't, here is my little sunshine:

This makes me hoot. Most of those clothes I used to wear. Does anyone recognize the Baby Jane tops and my second wedding dress , or white bell bottoms? Over the years we have had such fun doing our fashion show with all the kids, yes Gable included. It alway amazed me how creatitive the clothes could be used in so many different ways. The acting has always been good. Meaghn and Maddie started the wedding takes. I remember when Gracie was all dressed up in high heels coming down the stairs, similar to Princess Katherine this past week, she caught her heel on the step and came tumbling down head over heels and landed in a lovely lump, still carring out her act. She was about 4 years, scared me to death. Many good memories. Love Momma
