Go Mom!
We started out with the swim - and I actually did pretty well! If only the swim was last, I might have had a strong finish.
I'm not sure who looks worse in their cap - it's got to be me!
Next came the bike - About 13.5 miles - I should have just left the camelback, because I never could get it on right and never did get any water. At least I held my own on the bike ride and didn't lose too much ground - sort of.
And then there was the run - a little over 3 miles - I was doomed from the begining because my legs felt like jello before I even got started. I can say that after the bike ride I was so thirsty that I kept on going just to make it to the water stop at the half way mark. The good news - I finished! and afterwards I can still say I'm glad I did it.
Look - I'm still smiling and everything - sure, we can smile now because WE DID IT!

Now you just have to show mom how to do it!
Piper we always enjoy all your family's adventures. When our kids are grown, can us old people hang out with you?

When our kids are grown, we might be in a home for crazy old people, but we would love to have you come visit us - maybe play a little bridge! Would you still visit us even if we don't remember how to tie our own shoes?
Of course we would. You guys are amazing. Never forget that.
