It's our Birthday!

Wayne had been out of town all week, and we had decided I would fly out to Mayberry RFD (actually called Mount Airy, North Carolina) to be with him and tour Andy Griffith’s stomping grounds, but he kept feeling like he wanted to get home to be with the kids, so instead we got to spend our birthdays with 6 of our favorite people. We went BOWLING, and had a great time! Zoe was the only one to break 100 and Gable had the only strike (as a group, we don’t make the greatest bowlers), but that didn’t stop us from cheering as if we won the super bowl (or whatever bowlers win). It’s hard to believe we’re 41, but my hair keeps getting grayer and Wayne is still trying to deal with the fact that after his recent knee surgery, the Dr’s told him his knees have arthritis. Since they told him to STOP the high impact sports, Wayne thinks he’s going to sign up for next year’s St. George Marathon! While I accept the wear and tear of aging (I said accept not embrace) as a payoff for the wisdom that accompanies it, Wayne is going to go down kicking and screaming. I know 41’s not old, but there sure are a whole lot of people who are younger than us when there used to be a whole lot of people older.
