As if sending our kids out to beg for handouts isn’t bad enough, we even drive them to other people’s neighborhoods where they are assured of more free candy then they would ever get at the few houses we could cover in an evening out here. It’s all in the economy of it – more loot for less effort in town!
Eli: "Maddy, Gable's going to come home and say 'get that black haired kid out of our house', but tell him it's Eli OK?"
Eli: "Maddy, we should go on YOUTUBE with our black hair so everybody on YOUTUBE can see my black hair"
Eli: "Mom, can I keep my black hair - no I mean forever?"
What I want to know is how a 4 year old knows what YOUTUBE is? And...Why is our 4 year old wanting to be on it?
I should preface this picture by admitting that it scares me – too many kids to get through adolescents still! Actually, after examining it closer, I see the 4-H livestock hat - not to worry, her head is still in the right place!
Happy Halloween...I hope everyone got their teeth brushed before they fell asleep!

I love Halloween Day, but I couldn't carry my candy because it was so full. I got a tons of candy and the bishop gave me a candy bar.

Gable is too BIG for trick-or-treating - not too big for candy mind you; he just realized that part too late. He went to Elitches with some friends and instead of getting sick from gorging himself on too much candy like the rest, he got sick from too many rollercoaster trips. Eli did have to abandon the black hair in exchange for a clean head, but it was a tough choice!
