Family, Fun, Feast and Football

Thank you family for a wonderful thanksgiving!!  We had a great Thanksgiving holiday and appreciated having lots of family visiting. Papa Joe and Barb came on Tuesday and we enjoyed our time getting ready for the BIG FEAST. Of course the desserts were the primary focus.  Here Papa, Maddy and Zoe are busy with the chocolate chip cookie MOUNTAIN they made – he was showing them how to do the all important wrist flip to make the cookies come out perfect. You would have thought they would have lasted quite a while especially considering all the other yummy desserts that filled the house (Maddy is showing her pumpkin cheese cake – I won’t even begin to try to explain how delicious it was!), but they were gone before the weekend.

And then the feast!  Momma joined us and we had a beautiful day filled with wonderful food and we really enjoyed our time being together.

Then the cousins came… Tate (more on him later) arrived later on Thanksgiving (oh - his mom and dad came too) and Tammy brought Christopher and Meghan Friday morning. We all were on our best behavior for the ornament exchange (really – there were no knock down fights or bloody lips at all)...,

(why is it “Wayne’s” famous biscuits and gravy, when I’m the one who taught him how to make it?  He would say it’s because he “perfected” it and he’s got all the kids talked into agreeing with him!)


We had a NICE, FRIENDLY game of football…

And despite everything, when the final play was made...  the best team won!! 

And now about Tater Tot...

No one enjoyed having our new little cousin Tate around! HaH!

You would have thought there was royalty in the house.

 

Really... it was torture for all of us!
