Our Cousin Picture Day

Four times a year on the 15th of the month the "Miller" cousins record their day and then share the pictures that captured what a day in the life of their family looked like. This has been a wonderful way for us to get to know each other better and stay in touch as we are scattered all over the world. I thought, because we already did the hard part, I’d share our day here as well with an apology to any miller cousins for the repetition. The day was November 15th and it was a Sunday. This particular Sunday really was a good representation of what a typical Sunday is like for us.  Here it is:

Our bed has become smaller and smaller throughout the years as we have had more kids and they are getting bigger and bigger. On the weekends, one-by-one they file into bed with us until there is no hope of just a few more moments of sleep. Snuggling in bed on a Sunday morning is one of our favorite things to do.

One of our Favorite breakfast treats is Tripple C PC or Chunky Chocolate Chip PanCakes (or pannycakes as we call them). This morning daddy’s helpers were Zoe and Gracey.

On Sunday we go to church. On this day, we woke to snow covering the ground and still falling everywhere, but by the time we headed to church, it had stopped falling, and they had the roads and sidewalks cleared. Our driveway was a different story! It has been a snowy fall with the kids having 3 snow days home from school already this year. They’ve loved it!

(Why do these children have bare legs and no coats on? Who is their mother for heaven’s sake?)

During the week it’s a steady push to get everyone to keep up with their practicing, but on the weekend when the “pressure” is off, there is constant music in the air as the kids can’t seem to stay off the piano. It would be great to say it’s always a beautiful melody, but we get a lot of pounding too. The wonderful thing is Christmas is coming and they are starting to play all of the Christmas songs Yea!! Here they playing “Jingle Bells”

Maddy, Glory and Eli decided to build a stick house for some reason and it kept them busy for a good part of the evening. They ended up painting it, adding glitter snow and then decorating it for Christmas. It ended up being quite a display and it’s sitting in our window sill now – probably will be through Christmas. You probably can’t tell we are already counting down the days until Christmas is here.

FYI: Here's how it turned out
