but - before I had kids I really thought there was a lot more to be said for "nurture"
- yes I knew "nature" was important, but I reasoned - couldn't you influence a child’s behavior or at the very least encourage different qualities?
I think the first time it became vividly clear to me that the differences between girls and boys went much deeper, was when I was pregnant with Glory
Wayne and 3 year old Gable sat objectionably discussing the fact that I was going to throw up while little 1 1/2 year old Madison, already fully possessing that tender motherly love, sweetly followed me to the bathroom and rubbed my back to comfort me.
I know, I know, boys (and men) can be very compassionate and tender
and as I have been blessed to be the mother of 4 girls,
all wonderfully different in their unique and beautiful ways, I do know they can be rowdy and playful and aggressive too,
but from my experience....
girls just don't do this.....everyday....until someone says uncle or cries!
And being the girl from Venus that I am, I can tell you - I just don't understand it.
And.....someone (or something's) going to get hurt!

wrestling is just so weird.
That is awesome. Nothing wrong with a good old fashion wrestling match, so the kids know who is in charge. Although after looking at some of these pictures, that just might be Eli. Go Eli!!!
"Will you go wiiiith me? If we walk down streets of fire?" There goes that song stuck in my head again. Don't take it off here though, because I do love it and I don't mind when it gets stuck in my head.
